October 1, 2024 – Iranian Missiles Land on Several Palestinian Areas

1. In the Al-Nuwaima camp near Jericho, a Palestinian named Samih Al-Asali from Gaza was killed by missile fragments that struck him directly. [COMMENT: Al-Asali was one of the “Gaza workers” employed in Israel when the war began on October 7. These workers were later sent to Palestinian Authority areas and were hosted by the Palestinian security forces. END COMMENT]

2. In Qalqilya, an Iranian missile fell in the town of Azzun but did not explode. It is still emitting gases and is considered highly dangerous, as the warhead appears to have not detonated. A Palestinian security source informed JaFaJ that the Palestinian Authority has requested assistance from the Israeli Defense Forces to handle the situation and is awaiting a response. Meanwhile, fragments of another missile landed in the nearby town of Jayyus, causing no damage.

3.In Hebron, located in the southern West Bank, a bushfire broke out in the village of Dura as a result of missile debris. Missile fragments also fell on the town of Sebastia, near Nablus, though no damages were reported.
